Clara obtained a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Biochemistry from the University of Porto in 2017 and 2019, respectively. Her Master's thesis’ studies focused on assessing the potential of ionic liquids as new antimicrobial compounds against Mycobacterium avium. In January 2021, Clara started her PhD studies in the Doctoral Program in Molecular and Cell Biology at the Host Targets of Infection group at i3S, under the supervision of Tânia Silva and Salomé Gomes, developing new in vitro models to study drug susceptibility against mycobacteria, including organoid and biofilm models. |
