I graduated in Biochemistry at the Faculty of Sciences-University of Porto in 2020 and completed my master's degree in Oncology at the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (ICBAS)-University of Porto in 2022. My master’s project was developed under the supervision of the Prof. Dr. José Carlos Machado, in the Intercellular Communication and Cancer group, at the Institute for Research and Innovation in Health (i3S), where I studied the interplay between cancer genetics and immunosurveillance, using preclinical models of intestinal cancer and high throughput exome data analysis. Inspired by the work developed during my studies, which led to a poster presentation at the 4th SPLC-CRS Young Scientists Meeting and to an article to be published in Microbiota in Health and Disease, I now wish to pursue my doctoral studies, with special interest in the field of immuno-oncology.
